Massive task underway to clean up city — Shanghai Daily
July 6th, 2008 | by Editor |SHANGHAI officials yesterday called on local government departments and other agencies to go all out to improve the public amenity of Shanghai in the lead-up to the 2010 World Expo.
The city has set up a special office to manage and monitor the campaign, named the “600-day Countdown Actions.”
The office yesterday held its first meeting, bringing together directors of 37 local departments and managers of big companies.
